Your habit data is stored on your device. iCloud sync is optional. Loop does not sell your personal data, does not use third-party advertising SDKs, and does not use your data to track you across apps or websites.
Information Loop stores
Loop stores the habits and progress you create in the app on your device. This can include:
- habit names
- categories
- reminder schedules
- completion history
- streak and progress information derived from your habit history
This information is used only to make the app work for you.
Optional iCloud sync
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, iCloud can synchronize supported Loop data through your Apple account. Using iCloud sync is optional and you can opt in or out. Loop does not use your habit data for advertising or sell it.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Loop schedules local reminders on your device so your habits can appear at the times you choose.
Loop uses notification content and reminder timing only to deliver those reminders and related actions like Done, Skip, and Snooze.
Purchases
Loop offers optional in-app purchases through Loop Supporter.
Purchases and subscription status are handled through Apple and RevenueCat so the app can determine whether supporter features should be unlocked. Loop does not collect your card number or banking information.
No account required
Loop does not require account creation or sign-in to use its core features.
App analytics and tracking
Loop does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not use your habit data to track you across apps or websites.
Website analytics
The Loop website uses Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tags and Google Analytics to understand how people discover and use the website. Website measurement can include pages viewed, traffic source and campaign information, approximate device and location information, and interactions such as App Store clicks and page engagement.
Website analytics is separate from the habit data stored by the Loop app. We do not send your habit names, reminder schedules, completion history, streaks, or other in-app habit data to website analytics.
Data sharing
Loop does not sell your personal data.
Loop may rely on service providers that help process in-app purchase status for app functionality, such as RevenueCat.
Contact and support
Loop does not require your email address to use the app. If you choose to contact us with a suggestion, support request, or privacy question, we receive the email address and information you choose to send with that message.
Your choices
- You can delete habits inside the app at any time.
- You can disable notifications in iPhone Settings at any time.
- You can choose whether to use optional iCloud sync.
- You can remove the app from your device to remove its locally stored app data, subject to iOS backup behavior you control.
